Paired SWF10X (FN22) eyepieces compatible with most EMZ models.
Standard eyepieces used with the EMZ5 for magnifications between 7x to 45x

There are two ways to change the magnification of a microscope:
1. Change the eyepieces.
Changing the eyepieces preserves the Working Distance (WD) of the system
(the distance between the microscope and your sample)
2. Change the objective (or add an auxiliary lens)
Changing the objective (with an auxiliary lens) changes the WD.

Auxiliary Lenses
In most cases, increasing the magnification with an auxiliary lens over 1x (1.25 or 1.5 or 2x)
will decrease the WD

Using an auxiliary lens less than 1x (0.75x,0.5x,0.44x,0.3x) will increase the WD.
Decreasing the overall magnification with a 0.5x auxiliary lens is very advantageous for
many applications where working on the speciment by hand is required.

The standard WD of the EMZ5 is 93mm (using SWF10x eyepieces,total mag.is 7x to 45x)
Using the 0.5x auxiliary lens increases the WD to 150mm and halves the total magnification of
the microscope (using SWF10x eyepieces and the 0.5x aux.lens,total mag.is (7x to 45x) x 0.5 = 3.5x to 22.5x)
