Please note that there are microscope a. carry cases & microscope b.  transport cases.

a. Carry cases are used for personal,day-to-day transporting of the microscope by the operator.

They are required to be transported UPRIGHT (on a car seat with seat belt around it or wedged in the boot)

They are not intended for general transport by a freight company,post or similar service where the case may be dropped,abused,turned upside down,etc.

Carry cases are more compact in size for convenience and therefore have less padding / protection.

b. Transport cases are heavy duty cases which are recommended for transporting microscopes in the holds of

Aircraft,by carriers / couriers and by post.These cases have additional packaging protection to assist with the mitigation of damage by rough handling

(we are unable to guarantee 100% protection as it depends on how rough the treatment the case is subjected to) 

Transport cases are generally bulkier due to the extra space required for the extra padding.
