Delivery Information
What you should know:
Carriers:
We use a number of carriers / services to deliver these instruments to customers.These include TNT ; Couriers Please ; Australia Post
For TNT & Couriers Please,the delivery address should be attended between 9am & 5pm daily
so that the receiver can sign for the delivery.
Re delivery may incur additional charges if no-one is there to sign for the goods.
The alternative is that an "authority to leave" is provided by the customer so that the carrier
can leave the delivery (unsigned) in a place nominated by the receiver.
For Australia Post deliveries,if no-one is available to sign,the parcel will be taken back to the post office to await collection.
When you items are despatched you will receive a tracking number.
Please note that we are not responsible for the delivery times.
We have found that estimated delivery times quoted by the carrier are sometimes longer than anticipated (although sometimes on time)
Despatch:
We try to despatch orders as soon as possible however please keep in mind the following.Our company has been in business since 1957.
We do not sell "boxes" like many suppliers.
It is our policy to check / test all instruments prior to sales (some instruments are requested to
have certificates supplied with them).
This generally requires a lead time of 1-2 business days (but may be longer depending on our
servicing schedule).
If your order is urgent,please first check with us to ensure that we can meet your requirement.
Packaging:
It is also our policy to ensure that instruments are suitably packaged to ensure that they areprotected from damage in transport.
We do not deliver optical instruments as we receive them (which is generally a styrofoam container inside a cardboard carton).
Transport in Australia can be rough so we provide an extra layer of protection by packing the
optical instruments in larger cartons with shock absorbing packaging material.
Consequently our damaged in transport return rates are very,very (very) low.
No insurance unless requested:
We do not provide insurance on shipped goods unless requested (and paid for) by the customer.If you require insurance,please contact us and we will add it to the delivery charges
